Modelling the interaction between serious leisure, self-perceived employability, stress, and workplace well-being: empirical insights from graduates in India

Purpose Drawing on a framework of Job Demands-Resources (JD-R), the purpose this paper is to conceptually develop and empirically validate moderated mediation model serious leisure workplace well-being. Design/methodology/approach The data were collected between December 2020 March 2021 using an online questionnaire. A total 225 completed questionnaires received from employees in India who graduated 2018 2020. Findings authors’ findings indicate that positively associated with well-being relationship mediated by self-perceived employability. Stress moderates employability such way association stronger when levels stress are higher. also mediating effect indirect Originality/value Theoretical implications come drawing studies literature differentiate casual leisure. concept subsequently integrated into human resource management explore leisure, employability, stress, Practical policy suggest how universities organisations can support their students early careers talent encouraging them participate activities.
